Blades score three in strong second period as last-place Cougars fall 3-2

SASKATOON - The Saskatoon Blades scored three goals on 23 second-period shots in a 3-2 win over the Prince George Cougars on Saturday night in Western Hockey League action.

Derek Hulak, Josh Nicholls and Charles Inglis scored for Saskatoon (18-3-3), which leads the Eastern Conference by three points.

Nick Buonassisi and Parker Stanfield replied for the Cougars (3-17-2), who are last in the league by 10 points.

Adam Morrison made 24 saves for the Blades, while Prince George netminder Hudson Stremmel stopped 39 shots.
