The Chicago Blackhawks announced today that they have reassigned goaltender Lars Johansson to the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs.
Johansson, 29, has posted an 11-11-4 mark with a 2.66 goals-against average, .907 save percentage and two shutouts in 30 games with the IceHogs this season. He picked up his first AHL win on Oct. 21 at Grand Rapids. The Avesta, Sweden, native was called up on Dec. 4, 2016, serving in a backup role for nine games before being reassigned on Dec. 20, and backed up again on Feb. 26 vs. St. Louis.
The Blackhawks return to action Wednesday when they host the Pittsburgh Penguins at the United Center at 7:00 p.m. The game can be seen live nationally on NBCSN, streamed live online with the NBC Sports App, and heard on WGN Radio.
