Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Corey Crawford was placed on injured reserve Friday because of an undisclosed injury.
Crawford, who made 31 saves in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Dallas Stars on Thursday, will miss at least the next three games and is eligible to return against the Buffalo Sabres on Dec. 8.

Crawford will miss at least the next three games, coach Joel Quenneville said Saturday in Dallas where the Blackhawks play the the Stars (9 p.m. ET; FS-SW, NBCSCH, NHL.TV). The Blackhawks play the Los Angeles Kings at home on Sunday and at the Washington Capitals on Wednesday.
In 21 games this season, Crawford is 11-7-2. Among NHL goaltenders to play at least 10 games, he's fourth with a .930 save percentage and sixth with a 2.29 goals-against average.
Anton Forsberg likely will start against the Stars. Forsberg is 1-2-2 with a 3.67 goals-against average and .904 save percentage in seven games this season.
Goaltender J.F. Berube was recalled from Rockford of the American Hockey League. In 12 AHL games, he is 6-6-0 with a 2.54 goals-against average and .913 save percentage. Berube has 21 games of NHL experience, including 14 games with the New York Islanders last season.
