Chicago Blackhawks forward Marian Hossa will not play against the Columbus Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena on Friday (7 p.m. ET; FS-O, CSN-CH, NHL.TV) because of a lower-body injury.
Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville told CSN Chicago it's possible Hossa could play against the Toronto Maple Leafs at United Center on Saturday.

Hossa, 37, was injured during a 7-4 win against the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday. He became the 44th player to score 500 NHL goals before leaving in the third period after blocking a shot.
Hossa is the third NHL player born in Slovakia to score that many (Stan Mikita, 541; Peter Bondra, 503), and the fifth to score his 500th with the Blackhawks (Mikita; Bobby Hull; Michel Goulet; Bondra).
