Bibeau stops 20 shots, Hyman scores winner as Marlies beat Sens 3-2

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - Antoine Bibeau made 20 saves and Zac Hyman's second-period goal stood up as the winner as the Toronto Marlies held on to defeat the host Binghamton Senators 3-2 on Wednesday in American Hockey League action.

Bibeau has now posted back-to-back wins after struggling for much of November and early December. In his previous five starts prior to his two victories, the Victoriaville, Que., native had a 5.21 goals-against average and .839 save percentage.

Josh Leivo and Mark Arcobello also scored for the Marlies (21-5-2), who built up a 3-0 lead before giving up two late goals.

William Nylander picked up an assist on Leivo's first-period goal to extend his point streak to five games (two goals, six assists) and leads all AHL skaters with 34 points in 26 games.

Max McCormick broke Bibeau's shutout bid at 18:46 of the third period and Cole Schneider added another at 19:48 for the Senators (6-16-2), who are on a three-game skid.

Binghamton's Matt O'Connor stopped 29-of-32 shots in a losing cause.

Toronto went 0 for 3 on the power play while the Senators failed to score on either of their chances with the man advantage.
