SEATTLE - A bad bounce off the boards led to a goal by Mike Berube at 1:50 of overtime, helping the Vancouver Giants to a 3-2 Western Hockey League win over the Seattle Thunderbirds Friday.

The puck bounced off the sideboards directly to James Wright, who passed it to Berube for the game-winning goal for Vancouver, 8-1-1-1.

Jonathon Blum gave Vancouver a lead with a power-play goal, his fourth of the season, at 13:25 of the first period. The score extended Blum's point streak to 10 games.

Evander Kane's pass through the crease went off a defenceman's skate to give the Giants a 2-0 lead in the second period.

Seattle cut the lead to 2-1 on a short-handed, unassisted goal by Bud Holloway at 18:48 of the second period. The T-birds tied the game on Jan Eberle's second goal of the season at 3:31 of the third period. Thomas Hickey had an assist on the goal to extend his point streak to eight straight games.

Seattle, who dropped to 0-2-1 in overtime this season, fell to 4-1-2-1 on the season.
