Ben Scrivens makes 36 saves as Marlies beat Monsters 1-0 in shootout @NHLdotcom

CLEVELAND - Ben Scrivens made 36 saves as the Toronto Marlies edged the Lake Erie Monsters 1-0 in a shootout in American Hockey League action Saturday.

Joe Colborne and Josh Engel each scored for Toronto in the shootout while Scrivens stopped all four Monsters shooters.

It was the Marlies' fourth win in a row against Lake Erie in the final game of the season between the teams. Toronto (38-22-7) went 6-3-1 in the season series.

Scrivens meanwhile stopped 54-of-55 shots in two straight games after a 2-1 shootout win against the Monsters (32-27-9) on Wednesday.

Lake Erie goaltender Cedrick Desjardins replied with 29 saves.

The game featured just one apiece for both teams.
