NEW YORK -- Winnipeg Jets defenseman Ben Chiarot has been fined $3,763.44, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for cross-checking Arizona Coyotes forward Nick Cousins during NHL Game No. 961 in Arizona on Sunday, Feb. 24, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 15:40 of the second period. Chiarot was assessed a minor penalty for cross-checking.
The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
