Ben Bishop may have wanted his two front teeth for Christmas, but the Tampa Bay Lightning goalie received some candy-coated chompers about a month early and just in time for his 30th birthday.
The Lightning kitchen staff gave Bishop a cake topped with a top layer of teeth, including gums and two gold central incisors, to celebrate his birthday Monday.
You may remember that Bishop lost his two front teeth after a Peter Holland slap shot hit his mask squarely in the Lightning's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs at Air Canada Center on Oct. 25. He finished the game, which Tampa Bay won 7-3.
The cake was frosted in Lightning colors and also featured a silhouette of a goalie and Tampa Bay's main and alternate logos.
