PEORIA, Ill. - Ben Bishop made 26 saves as the Peoria Rivermen shut out the Toronto Marlies 2-0 in American Hockey League action Saturday.
Jonathan Cheechoo scored at 8:07 in the second period, providing all the offence Peoria would need. T.J. Hensick added an empty-netter with 30 seconds remaining in regulation.
The Rivermen (14-14-2) extended their winning streak to three games.
Jussi Rynnas made 27 saves for the Marlies (15-9-4), who have lost two in a row but still lead the North Division by six points.
