Bell scores twice to lead the Rockets over the Royals 5-2

VICTORIA - Myles Bell scored twice and set up one more as the Kelowna Rockets defeated the host Victoria Royals 5-2 on Friday in Western Hockey League action.

Carter Rigby, Cody Chikie and Shane McColgan each had a goal and an assist to round out Kelowna's (16-19-5) scoring.

Hayden Rintoul and Jamie Crooks responded for Victoria (13-24-4), who have now lost eight straight games.

Adam Brown made 36 saves for the win while Keith Hamilton turned aside 23 shots in defeat.

The Rockets were 2 for 6 on the power play as the Royals scored once on five opportunities with the man advantage.
