Beleskey hat trick leads Belleville to 6-2 win over Mississauga-St. Michael's @NHLdotcom

BELLEVILLE, Ont. - Matt Beleskey scored three goals as the Belleville Bulls reclaimed top spot in the East Division standings with a 6-2 win over the Mississauga-St. Michael's Majors in Ontario Hockey League action Wednesday.

Beleskey gave the Bulls a 3-1 lead midway through the second period, and added power-play goals 1:16 apart in the third period to ice the Belleville victory. The Bulls (17-8-2-1) ended a two-game losing streak and leapfrogged the idle Oshawa Generals for first place in the East.

Bryan Cameron added a pair of goals while Cory Tanaka had a goal and an assist for Belleville. Shawn Matthias chipped in with three assists in the victory.

Kris Sparre and Matt Piva countered with a goal and an assist apiece for Mississauga-St. Michael's (14-13-1-0).

Mike Murphy stopped 24 shots for the Bulls, while Anthony Grieco made 40 saves in defeat for the Majors.
