Bechard scores twice as Team White blanks Sweden 6-0 at Fall Festival

PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. (CP) - Kelly Bechard scored twice as Canada's Team White beat Team Sweden 6-0 Thursday to reach the final of the national women's hockey team's Fall Festival.

The victory moves Team White (3-1) into Saturday's championship game against Team Red (2-1). Bechard, playing in her 100th career international game, was presented with a ceremonial gold helmet prior to the matchup. The helmet is presented to skaters who have played 100 games and goalies who have appeared in 50 games.

Vicky Sunohara, Gina Kingsbury, Meaghan Mikkelson and Natalie Spooner also scored for Team White.

Canada's Laura Hosier went the distance in goal, stopping all 19 shots she faced.

Kim Martin stopped 33 of 39 shots for Sweden.
