Beach's two-point game lifts Everett to 4-3 triumph over Kelowna @NHLdotcom

KELOWNA, B.C. - Kyle Beach had a goal and an assist as the Everett Silvertips skated to a 4-3 victory over the Kelowna Rockets in WHL action on Friday night.

Shane Harper, who opened the game's scoring with a power-play goal at 1:59 of the first period, Dane Crowley and Dan Gendur also scored for Everett (5-5-0-0), which led 3-1 and 4-2 at the period breaks.

Jamie Benn, with his third and fourth goals of the season, and Justin Bernhardt, with his third, replied for Kelowna (4-5-1-0).

Both of Kelowna's goals came on the power play, as the Rockets went 2-for-7 with the extra man. Everett was 2-for-5.

Leland Irving made 23 saves for the Silvertips, who lost the services of captain and defenceman Jonathan Harty to a leg injury midway through the second.

Kris Westblom turned aside 23 shots for the Rockets.
