Beach, Reners score twice as the Hurricanes flip Prince George 7-2 @NHLdotcom

LETHBRIDGE, Alta. - Kyle Beach opened and closed the scoring as the Lethbridge Hurricanes hammered the Prince George Cougars 7-2 in Western Hockey League action Friday night.

Beach scored 13 seconds into regulation and added another in the final minutes of the third, while Mark Reners counted the first two goals of his WHL career to lead the Hurricanes' offence. Brennan Yadlowski, Colton Sceviour and Austin Fyten also scored for Lethbridge (25-21-2-2).

Marcus Watson and Brett Connolly replied for Prince George (19-28-0-6).

Michael Tadjdeh backstopped the Hurricanes to the win, making 32 saves. Cougars goaltender Kevin Armstrong was chased from the pipes after allowing four goals on eight shots. Joe Caligiuri replaced Armstrong and stopped 18 of 21 shots.
