SPOKANE, Wash. - Kyle Beach had a four-point game, including his second hat trick of the season, as the Spokane Chiefs hammered the Kamloops Blazers 6-1 on Saturday night in the Western Hockey League.
Beach, drafted 11th overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in 2008, is on a six-game scoring streak, with eight goals and three assists since the start of November. He sits third in WHL scoring with 18 goals and has scored at least 24 in each of the last three seasons.
Mitch Wahl and Stefan Ulmer had a goal and an assist each for Spokane (11-7-1). Brady Brassart also scored, while Jared Spurgeon added three assists.
Shayne Wiebe had the lone goal for the Blazers (10-12-2), who have lost three straight.
James Reid made 21 saves for the Chiefs, while Kamloops netminder Justin Leclerc stopped 42 shots.
