Battani's two goals leads Sault Ste. Marie over Otters 5-1 @NHLdotcom

ERIE, Pa. - T.J. Battani's two goals, including a short-handed marker, led the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds as they broke a six-game losing streak and beat the Erie Otters 5-1 in Ontario Hockey League action Saturday night.

Jake Carrick and Carson Dubchak each had a goal and an assist for Sault Ste. Marie (8-5-1) while Brett Thompson also scored.

Defenceman Brett Cook scored the lone goal for Erie (4-6-3) on the power play.

The game was physical, with 21 penalties handed out including three fights. A line brawl late in the first period had goalies Robin Lehner and Ramis Sadikov earn game misconducts. The Otters' Shane Owen and Sault Ste. Marie's Bryce O'Hagan replaced them.
