SUDBURY, Ont. - Nicholas Baptiste scored his first Ontario Hockey League goal Saturday as the Sudbury Wolves defeated the Kingston Frontenacs 5-3.
Frank Corrado, Kristoff Kontos, Andrey Kuchin and Charlie Dodero also scored for the Wolves (3-4-1).
Tyler J. Brown, Warren Steele and Cody Alcock scored for the Frontenacs (1-8-2).
Johan Mattsson surrendered three goals on 28 shots for Sudbury.
Igor Bobkov stopped 22 of 26 shots for Kingston.
Corrado opened the scoring on the power play at 14:12 in the first period with a wrist shot from the slot that beat Bobkov blocker side.
Kontos scored a power-play goal 3:47 in the second period as he was left alone in front of the goal and slid the puck under Bobkov's right pad.
Frontenacs captain Brown cut the deficit in half with a power-play goal at 10:37 before Baptiste scored at 11:34 to restore the two-goal lead.
The Frontenacs pulled within one at 19:57 of the second on a power-play goal by Steele.
Kuchin scored his second goal of the season at 8:19 in the third period as he dangled around a Kingston defender and backhanded the puck over a sprawling Bobkov.
Alcock scored for the Frontenacs at 16:27 to pull within one before Dodero scored into an empty net at 19:11 to make it 5-3.
Kingston went 3-for-8 on the power play while Sudbury wound up 2-for-4.
