Baertschi, Loktionov, Polak injured at Worlds @NHLdotcom

Calgary Flames forward Sven Baertschi sustained a fractured rib playing for Switzerland at the 2014 World Championship, the IIHF said on its website Saturday.

Baertschi will be out for several weeks.

Carolina Hurricanes forward Andrei Loktionov sustained a shoulder injury playing for Russia in the same game. He will be out for several weeks and traveled to Moscow on Saturday, the website said.

Loktionov can become an NHL restricted free agent July 1.

St. Louis Blues defenseman Roman Polak sustained a shoulder injury playing for the Czech Republic against Slovakia and is out for the remainder of the tournament. He will travel to the Czech Republic on Sunday.
