Avs, Leafs set to collide on VERSUS @NHLdotcom
Two teams off to terrific starts will face each other in front of a nationally-televised audience Monday night.

The Toronto Maple Leafs, who are off to a 3-0-0 start, will host the 4-1-0 Colorado Avalanche at the Air Canada Centre at 7 p.m. ET in a showdown that can be seen on VERSUS in the United States.

Toronto, which edged Calgary by a 3-2 score Saturday night, has received tremendous efforts from the likes of Phil Kessel (5 goals, 3 assists), Joffrey Lupul (2 goals, 3 assists) and James Reimer (3-0-0, 2.33 goals-against average, .927 save percentage).

Colorado shored up its goaltending during the offseason with the acquisition of Semyon Varlamov from Washington. Varlamov has been sensational for the Avs (3-1-0, 2.17 GAA, .938 save percentage), but it will be former Leafs goalie Jean-Sebastien Giguere between the pipes Monday night. Giguere helped Colorado earn a 7-1 win against Ottawa in his lone performance last Thursday.

Four other games are on the NHL schedule Monday night -- Tampa Bay hosts Florida (7:30 p.m. ET), Pittsburgh visits Winnipeg (8:30 p.m. ET), Nashville travels to Edmonton (9:30 p.m. ET) and San Jose hosts Anaheim (10:30 p.m. ET).
