Colorado Eagles prospect Andrew Agozzino

Andrew Agozzino will play his first National Hockey League game since the 2015-16 season tonight when the Colorado Avalanche hosts the Vegas Golden Knights.

Agozzino, who was recalled by the Avs on Sunday afternoon, has notched three assists in 10 career NHL games, all with the Avalanche. He leads the Colorado Eagles of the American Hockey League and ranks tied for fourth overall in the AHL with 50 points (22 goals, 28 assists) through 48 outings this campaign.
"He has been impressive this year down there, which is one of the reasons why he is here," head coach Jared Bednar said of Agozzino. "We have looked at a couple guys, and (Sheldon) Dries got sick. He has been unable to skate this week, and we got him down there for a game yesterday.
"Agozzino is one of the league leaders down there, big leader in their locker room. Offensive side of the puck, defensive side of the puck, he has put together a really nice campaign so that is why he is here getting a look tonight."
Semyon Varlamov was the first goaltender off the ice from Colorado's morning skate and is expected to get the start in net against Vegas.
Below is the Avalanche's projected lineup based on the forward combinations and defensive pairings from Saturday's game against St. Louis. They are subject to change.
