Avalanche acquire Grimaldi from Panthers

Rookie forward, who had five points in 20 games this season, traded for goalie Berra @NHLdotcom

Goaltender Reto Berra was traded by the Colorado Avalanche to the Florida Panthers for forward Rocco Grimaldi on Thursday.

Berra, 29, was 5-8-0 with a 2.41 goals-against average, a .922 save percentage and two shutouts in 14 games for Colorado this season. He played 16 games for San Antonio of the American Hockey League, going 7-7-0 with a 3.39 GAA and .901 save percentage. Berra is 19-30-4 with a 2.82 GAA and .906 save percentage in 63 regular-season games with the Calgary Flames and Avalanche. 

Grimaldi, 23, had three goals and five points in 20 regular-season games with the Panthers this season. He had 16 goals and 33 points in 52 games for Portland of the AHL.
