The Cup has a clone, and it's in Denver.
The Colorado Avalanche delivered lunches to local fire stations across the Denver Metro Area on Tuesday. The Avalanche wanted to thank firefighters for their response to the urban and flash flooding across different parts of the city that occurred from heavy rains on Sunday.
As a way of saying thank you for the outstanding response to the flooding on Sunday night, we delivered lunches to local fire stations across the Denver Metro Area❤️💙#GoAvsGopic.twitter.com/rHE0940ZG6
The Avalanche mascot, Bernie the St. Bernard, personally delivered some lunches himself. While the real Stanley Cup is making rounds with team players in British Columbia, Bernie brought a replica for the firefighters to play with.
