Avalanche release Glencross from tryout contract

Forward Curtis Glencross was released from his professional tryout contract with the Colorado Avalanche on Monday, coach Patrick Roy said.

Glencross joined Colorado on a PTO on Sept. 28, one day after he was released from his PTO with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Glencross, 32, spent last season with the Calgary Flames before being traded to the Washington Capitals. In 71 games, he had 13 goals and 35 points. Glencross had one goal in 10 Stanley Cup Playoff games with the Capitals.

In 507 games, he has 134 goals and 275 points.
