The Colorado Avalanche enters the 2018 NHL Draft with a total of eight selections, including the No. 16 overall pick. This year's entry draft takes place at American Airlines Center in Dallas this Friday and Saturday, June 22-23. It is the first time the draft has been held in the state of Texas.
Colorado enters the weekend with four picks in the first 100 selections, owning one in the first round (16th overall), two in the second (47th and 58th) and one in the third (78th). In addition, the Avalanche also owns picks in the fourth (109th), fifth (140th), sixth (171st) and seventh (202nd) rounds.
