Forward Austin Watson signed a three-year contract with the Nashville Predators on Monday. It is worth $3.3 million, an average annual value of $1.1 million, and runs through the 2019-20 season.
Watson, 25, who was a restricted free agent, had an arbitration hearing scheduled in Toronto on Monday.

Watson had an NHL career-high 17 points (five goals, 12 assists) in 77 games for Nashville last season. He had nine points (four goals, five assists) and a League-high 106 hits in 22 Stanley Cup Playoff games to help the Predators reach the Final.

Selected by Nashville in the first round (No. 18) of the 2010 NHL Draft, Watson has 28 points (nine goals, 19 assists) and 131 penalty minutes in 140 NHL games.
The Predators avoided arbitration hearings with forward Viktor Arvidsson, who signed a seven-year, $29.75 million contract Saturday, and goalie Marek Mazanec, who agreed to terms on a one-year, two-way contract Friday.
