Austin Madaisky's two power-play goals lead Blazers over Giants @NHLdotcom

KAMLOOPS, B.C. - Austin Madaisky scored two power-play goals and Chase Souto added two at even strength Friday to lead the Kamloops Blazers to a 6-2 victory over the Vancouver Giants in the Western Hockey League.

Colin Smith and Logan McVeigh, while shorthanded, also scored for the Blazers (1-1-0).

Logan Harland and Nathan Burns replied for the Giants (2-2-0).

Kamloops goaltender Cole Cheveldave stopped 23 shots in winning his WHL debut, while Vancouver's Jackson Whistle turned aside 25 in his first WHL start.
