OWEN SOUND, Ont. - Jordan Binnington stopped all 36 shots he faced as the Owen Sound Attack blanked the visiting Barrie Colts 1-0 on Wednesday in Ontario Hockey League action.
Coming off of OHL player of the week honours, the 19-year-old goaltender now has a shutout in three consecutive games and hasn't given up a goal in 181:32.
In 20 games, Binnington is 14-3-3 and leads the league with a 2.07 goals-against average and .936 save percentage.
Cameron Brace scored his league leading seventh game-winning goal for the Attack (17-4-3), who now sit three points ahead of the London Knights for first in the Midwest Division standings, while Daniel Catenacci and Gemel Smith picked up the assists.
With the assist, Catenacci now has four goals and 13 points in his last six games.
Mathias Niederberger stopped 28-of-29 shots in a losing cause for the Colts (17-6-1), who came into the contest the highest scoring team in the Eastern Conference.
Owen Sound went 0-for-2 on the power play while Barrie failed to score on four chances with the man advantage.
