ATLANTA (AP) - The Atlanta Thrashers signed free agent centre Alexandre Giroux to a multi-year deal Friday.
The 26-year-old Giroux had two goals and two assists in nine games with the Washington Capitals last season. Giroux also played in 67 games with Hershey of the American Hockey League, recording a career-high 70 points (42 goals, 28 assists).
The Thrashers also have signed centres Todd White and Eric Perrin, along with defenceman Ken Klee, in the off-season.
Veteran centre Steve Rucchin failed his last physical with the team and hasn't played since early February because of a concussion.
