Arnaud Jacquemet's shootout winner leads Ice to 3-2 win over Cougars @NHLdotcom

PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. - Arnaud Jacquemet scored the deciding goal in the shootout to give the Kootenay Ice a 3-2 victory over the Prince George Cougars in WHL action Wednesday.

The teams traded power-play goals in the first period, with Dale Hunt connecting for the Cougars (15-35-1-3) and Jacquemet replying for the Ice (31-18-4-2). Ben Maxwell, a second-round draft choice of the Montreal Canadiens who has missed most of the season with a thigh injury, gave the Ice a 2-1 lead with the lone goal of the second period.

Brad Reige of the Cougars tied the game with his seventh goal of the season at 7:37 of the third period.

Real Cyr stopped 37 shots for the Cougars, while rookie goaltender Thomas Heemskerk of the Ice blocked 36 shots.
