Coyotes third jerseys

The Arizona Coyotes' jersey game is heating up.

The Coyotes unveiled their new "Desert Night" third jerseys on Wednesday.
Rhuigi Villaseñor, fashion designer and the Coyotes creative strategist, designed the sweaters.

The burgundy jerseys feature a star above the "I" in "Arizona" which represents nighttime in the desert when coyotes hunt and the Arizona state flag. The "C" captain patch is made by a half moon and the "A" patch is made with two cacti. A Kachina print runs throughout the bottom of the jersey and the sleeves.

"My inspiration for the third jersey came from the environment, the community, the colors, and the clay - roots of the AZ Culture," Villaseñor
told the Coyotes.
"I feel honored to pioneer with the Coyotes the reimagining of the sport alongside culture and design."
The Coyotes will wear the "Desert Night" jerseys 14 times at Mullett Arena this season, with their debut set for Sunday's game against the Vegas Golden Knights.
