Bjugstad trade with ofx

Nick Bjugstad was traded to the Edmonton Oilers by the Arizona Coyotes on Thursday.

Bjugstad signed a one-year contract with Arizona on July 13 and can become an unrestricted free agent after the season. The 30-year-old forward has 23 points (13 goals, 10 assists) in 59 games this season.
"I'm definitely super excited to join the Oilers, and it was definitely a team that I was hoping I was going to get a call about," Bjugstad said. "It was just tons of excitement on my end, and I can't wait to join the boys and help this team win a Stanley Cup.
"It's been hard to play against them these past years. There is lot of skill with these guys and they're hard to play against. To be on the same side of these guys is going to be fun and individually, I think it's a good fit for myself."

Selected by the Florida Panthers with the No. 19 pick in the 2010 NHL Draft, Bjugstad has 260 points (123 goals, 137 assists) in 599 regular-season games with the Panthers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Minnesota Wild and Coyotes, and five points (three goals, two assists) in 15 Stanley Cup Playoff games.

Arizona
traded defenseman Jakob Chychrun to the Ottawa Senators
on Wednesday for a conditional first-round pick in the 2023 draft, a conditional second-round pick in the 2024 draft and a second-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft, and defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere to the Hurricanes for a third-round pick in the 2026 Draft.
Kesselring, 23, who has yet to make his NHL debut, has 22 points (13 goals, nine assists) in 49 games with Bakersfield of the American Hockey League. He was selected by Edmonton in the sixth round (No. 164) of the 2018 NHL Draft.
"I'd like to thank Nick for all of his contributions to the Coyotes on and off the ice this season," Arizona general manager Bill Armstrong said. "Nick is a tremendous person and was extremely well liked and respected in our dressing room. We wish him all the best with the Oilers."
