The Game

Center Auston Matthews will play his 100th NHL game when the Toronto Maple Leafs face the Arizona Coyotes at Air Canada Centre on Monday. Matthews has 90 points (52 goals, 38 assists) in his first 99 games.

The Coyotes have won two in a row for the first time this season. They are 3-3-2 in their past eight games after starting 1-12-1.

Players to watch

Coyotes forward Anthony Duclair had a hat trick in a 3-2 overtime win against the Ottawa Senators on Saturday. He has five points (three goals, two assists) in his past four games.

Matthews scored twice in his return to the lineup, a 6-0 win against the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday. He missed four straight games with an upper-body injury.

They said it

"It's tough to chase the game. Everybody is so good in the NHL now, it's tough to chase the game every night, it's hard. Teams are so structured, there's a lot of good players on the other teams. You can't chase the game all the time." -- Coyotes coach Rick Tocchet

"I don't really put too many expectations; I just want to have fun. You're playing in the NHL, you want to do the best you can, learn as much as you can and I think I've done that so far. It's game 100, obviously I want to play a lot more than just 100 games and I think there are still a lot of things I can be better at and a lot of ways I can still improve." -- Maple Leafs center Auston Matthews
