Darcy Kuemper remains day to day with a lower-body injury after having a setback during the Arizona Coyotes' morning skate prior to their game against the Montreal Canadiens at Bell Centre on Monday.
The goalie was set to make his first start since Dec. 19 after missing 20 games. Antti Raanta instead got the start and was backed up by Adin Hill.
Kuemper is 15-8-2 with a 2.17 goals-against average, a .929 save percentage and two shutouts in 25 games this season.
The Coyotes (27-23-7) are 2-7-3 since Jan. 9 and trail the Calgary Flames by one point for the second wild card into the Stanley Cup Playoffs from the Western Conference.
