DENVER --Andre Burakovsky had a goal and an assist for the Colorado Avalanche in a 4-3 shootout win against the Arizona Coyotes at Ball Arena on Friday.

Nazem Kadri scored the only shootout goal, which came in the third round.
Mikko Rantanen and Tyson Jost scored, Devon Toews had two assists, and Pavel Francouz made 23 saves for Colorado (23-8-3), which extended its record home winning streak to 13, the longest in the NHL this season.
"Whenever you win 13 in a row at home a lot of things are working," Avalanche coach Jared Bednar said. "Different contributions, different guys, good depth going through the lineup. Our top guys have been playing real well and capitalizing on their chances. Different things on different nights."

Ivan Prosvetov
made 44 saves for Arizona (8-23-4) in the first game of the home-and-home series. It was Prosvetov's fifth NHL game and his second this season. He made 23 saves Oct. 28 in a 5-1 loss at the Tampa Bay Lightning.
"Back in the day, when I was younger, the best goalie in the League was Semyon Varlamov," Prosvetov said. "I was watching him when I was a very young kid and he played for the Avalanche. So I was always playing for the Avalanche in Xbox and stuff. Definitely how life goes. I've played five games in the NHL and three of them are against Colorado. It's funny, but it's a good building to play. I feel like every year I'm making progress. As a young kid, that's what you want."
Rantanen gave the Avalanche a 1-0 lead at 4:36 of the first period when he converted the rebound after Toews shot from the right point.
Jost made it 2-0 at 12:03. Kurtis MacDermid's wraparound attempt slid into the slot and Jost put in the loose puck for his 100th NHL point in 296 games.
"He tried to wrap it and I just tried to get to the net," Jost said. "I like where my game is right now. It's nice to be rewarded. I always want more."
Clayton Keller scored shorthanded to cut it to 2-1 at 17:31 when he skated down the right wing with Toews, fended him off while skating through the goalmouth and shot off Francouz's pad.
"Keller's shorthanded goal, I think that's something we really rallied around," Coyotes assistant coach Phil Housley said. "It got us some momentum. They're a terrific offensive team, one of the most high-powered offenses in the League. You know they're going to get their opportunities. We just tried to limit them as much as we could."

Johan Larsson tied 2-2 at 6:12 of the second period. Andrew Ladd fed Larsson with a drop pass in the right face-off circle for a short side shot.
Shayne Gostisbehere put the Coyotes ahead 3-2 at 39 seconds of the third period, shooting short side from the right circle off a pass from Phil Kessel.
Burakovsky tied it 3-3 at 1:08 when he skated into the left circle and shot glove side.
"I'm really happy we won, but I'm not super happy about my game because it's really tough when you don't get a lot of shots and you're kind of waiting for every save," Francouz said. "I really wish that I could have that third goal back. Thank God the guys bailed me out."

They also were shorthanded for the final 1:45 of the third period and first 15 seconds of overtime after Rantanen was penalized for tripping. They allowed 10 power-play goals in the previous seven games.
"Tonight [the penalty kill] was good," Jost said. "It gives us a little boost of confidence and shows we have been doing the right things. It was nice to get back to our old selves."
