NEW YORK -- Los Angeles Kings center Anze Kopitar scored a hat trick against the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden on Friday.
Kopitar had a goal in each period. He scored 33 seconds into the first period to give the Kings a 1-0 lead, then at 15:46 of the second to tie the game 3-3, and with 26 seconds left in the third period to tie the game 4-4.

It was Kopitar's third NHL hat trick, his first since a 4-2 win against the Columbus Blue Jackets on March 11, 2011.
Kopitar has 16 goals and 50 points in 54 games.
