Antigonish Bulldogs of Maritime Junior Hockey League moving to Halifax @NHLdotcom

ANTIGONISH, N.S. - The Antigonish Bulldogs of the Maritime Junior A Hockey League have been sold and will play next season out of Halifax.

Formed in 1967, the Bulldogs had fallen on hard financial times in recent years. The league has approved the team's sale to a group from Halifax led by John Keizer and former league president Eric Thompson.

A name for the new Halifax club hasn't been determined, but it will play its home games at the Halifax Forum.

Dan Sangster has been appointed acting general manager and the search for a head coach has begun.
