Anthony Cirelli signed an eight-year, $50 million contract extension with the Tampa Bay Lightning on Wednesday that begins next season. It has an average annual value of $6.25 million.

The 24-year-old forward will play the final season of a three-year, $14.4 million ($4.8 AAV) contract he signed with Tampa Bay on Dec. 24, 2020.
Cirelli had 43 points (17 goals, 26 assists) in 76 games for the Lightning last season. It was one point shy of his NHL career-high 44 points in 2019-20. He had eight points (three goals, five assists) in 23 playoff games for Tampa Bay, which lost the Stanley Cup Final in six games to the Colorado Avalanche.
Selected by Tampa Bay in the third round (No. 72) of the 2015 NHL Draft, he has 159 points (66 goals, 93 assists) in 294 regular-season games and 34 points (14 goals, 20 assists) in 92 playoff games. He won the Stanley Cup each of the past two seasons.
The Lightning also signed defensemen Erik Cernak ($41.6 million; $5.2 AAV) and Mikhail Sergachev ($60 million; $8.5 million AAV) to eight-year contract extensions. Each has won the Stanley Cup the past two seasons.
Sergachev will play the final season of a three-year contract he signed with Tampa Bay on Nov. 20, 2020. He could have become a restricted free agent after the season. The 24-year-old had 38 points (seven goals, 31 assists) in 78 regular-season games and 10 points (two goals, eight assists) in 23 Stanley Cup Playoff games.
Selected by the Montreal Canadiens in the first round (No. 9) of the 2016 NHL Draft, Sergachev has 174 points (36 goals, 138 assists) in 362 regular-season games for the Canadiens and Lightning and 30 points (eight goals, 22 assists) in 92 postseason games.
Cernak will play the final season of a three-year contract he signed Dec. 22, 2020, and could have become an RFA after the season. The 25-year-old has 13 points (one goal, 12 assists) in 55 regular-season games and two points (one goal, one assist) in 23 playoff games last season.
Selected by the Los Angeles Kings in the second round (No. 43) of the 2015 draft, Cernak has 59 points (16 goals, 43 assists) in 226 regular-season games for the Lightning and 19 points (two goals, 17 assists) in 73 playoff games.

Vladislav Namestnikov
signed a one-year, $2.5 million contract with the Lightning on Wednesday. The 29-year-old had 30 points (16 goals, 14 assists) in 75 regular-season games for the Dallas Stars and Detroit Red Wings last season.
Selected by Tampa Bay in the first round (No. 27) of the 2011 NHL Draft, Namestnikov has 236 points (107 goals, 129 assists) in 553 regular-season games for the Stars, Red Wings, Colorado Avalanche, Ottawa Senators, New York Rangers and Lightning. He has 11 points (six goals, five assists) in 48 playoff games.
