Andreoff's shootout winner leads Generals to 2-1 win over Greyhounds @NHLdotcom

OSHAWA, Ont. - Andy Andreoff scored the shootout winner on a backhand that squeaked through the pads of Bryce O'Hagan, leading the Oshawa Generals past the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 2-1 in Ontario Hockey League action Thursday.

All three Oshawa shooters scored, while Michael Zador stopped one of two at the other end to earn the win.

Zador, coming off a shutout in his last game, stopped 25 of 26 shots in regulation and three more in overtime, as the Greyhounds outshot the Generals 29-20.

Conor Stokes scored in regulation for Oshawa (21-22-5), opening the scoring 13:09 into the game.

Captain Jacob Muzzin replied for the Greyhounds (24-20-5) early in the third period.

The Greyhound were 0-for-9 on the power play, while the Generals failed to score on five chances.

The Generals improved to a league-best 9-2 in shootouts this season.
