OWEN SOUND, Ont. - JP Anderson stopped 28-of-29 shots as the Sarnia Sting defeated the host Owen Sound Attack 2-1 on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League action.
Anderson's performance included stopping all 21 shots he faced in the final two periods and earned him the game's first star.
Connor Murphy's power-play goal at 11:19 of the second period stood up as the game winner for the Sting (1-2-1) while Charles Sarault scored his club's other goal shorthanded.
Keevin Cutting scored the lone goal for the Attack (3-1-1).
Despite the loss, Brandon Hope picked up the game's second star after stopping 40-of-42 shots for Owen Sound.
The Sting went 1-for-4 on the power play while the Attack failed to score on four chances with the man advantage.
