NEW YORK - - Anaheim Ducks forward Trevor Zegras has been fined $1,500 for slashing San Jose Sharks defenseman Matt Benning during NHL Game No. 158 in San Jose on Tuesday, Nov. 1, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 12:25 of the second period. Zegras was assessed a minor penalty for slashing.
The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
