Anaheim Ducks sign Moen, Parros to two-year contract extensions @NHLdotcom

ANAHEIM, Calif. (CP) - The Anaheim Ducks will have one of their best playoff performers back in uniform next season.

Anaheim signed forward Travis Moen to a US$1.825-million, two-year contract on Tuesday. He'll earn $900,000 next year and $925,000 in 2008-'09 after making $475,000 last season.

Moen played in all 21 playoff games for the Stanley Cup champions and scored three goals in the five-game NHL championship series.

The 25-year-old from Stewart Valley, Sask., finished with seven goals and five assists for 12 points in the playoffs. He had 21 points (11-10) in 82 games during the regular season.

Also Tuesday, the Ducks signed enforcer George Parros to a $1.1-million, two-year contract.

He had one goal and a team-leading 102 penalty minutes in 34 games during the regular season. The 27-year-old Parros appeared in five post-season games.

Both players were set to become unrestricted free agents on July 1.
