Ducks sign first-round pick Sam Steel

Forward Sam Steel signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday.

Steel, 18, was selected with the No. 30 pick in the 2016 NHL Draft. He leads the Western Hockey League with 54 points (23 goals, 31 assists) in 25 games this season for Regina.
He has 63 goals and 115 assists (178 points) in 158 WHL games the past three seasons.
