The Anaheim Ducks signed defenseman Jacob Larsson, 19, to a three-year, entry-level contract Friday. Financial details were not disclosed.
Larsson (6-foot-2, 191 pounds) was picked by the Ducks in the first round (No. 27) of the 2015 NHL Draft. He had 14 points in 47 regular-season games with Frolunda of the Swedish Hockey League. He also had three assists in 16 SHL playoff games to help Frolunda win the league championship.
He signed an amateur tryout with San Diego, the Ducks' American Hockey League affiliate, on April 28 and made his North American debut in Game 2 of the Pacific Division Finals.
