"We had some plays out there you shake your head at," Crouse said. "I took a pretty bad penalty and it led to a goal, and then we took another one not too long after that that led to another one and, at this point of the season, you can't do that."
Kuemper made 28 saves in losing for the first time in his past eight starts (7-1-0).
Anaheim was 2-for-5 on the power play, and Arizona was 0-for-5.
"We had some chances on the power play and we have to be sharper," Demers said. "It's hard when you're losing special teams battles. But you can't dwell on the games at this point of the season, we've got to turn the page."
