Anaheim, Columbus trade players they hope will develop into NHL regulars

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - The Columbus Blue Jackets traded centre Mark Hartigan and right-winger Joe Motzko to the Anaheim Ducks on Friday, picking up centre Zenon Konopka and left-winger Curtis Glencross.

The deal also includes draft picks, Columbus giving up a conditional seventh-round pick in either 2007 or 2008 and the Ducks throwing in a fourth-round 2007 selection.

Hartigan of Fort St. John, B.C., had 19 goals and 13 assists in 34 AHL games with the Syracuse Crunch this season. In 73 NHL games with Atlanta and Columbus, he had 16 goals and 10 assists.

Konopka of Niagara Falls, Ont., had 11 goals and 24 assists in 42 games with the Portland, Me., AHL team this season.

Glencross of Kindersley, Sask., scored a goal in two NHL games with Anaheim this month.
