Alphonso's two goals lead Sault Ste. Marie to 7-4 win over Owen Sound @NHLdotcom

SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. - Aaron Alphonso had a pair of second-period goals while Jacob Lalonde and James Livingston also scored twice as the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds beat the Owen Sound Attack 7-4 Sunday in the OHL.

Alphonso's first goal broke a 1-1 tie early in the second period and the Greyhounds (5-0-0-0) never trailed the rest of the way as they continued their hot start. Brandon Biggers added a goal and an assist for Sault Ste. Marie while Michael Fine added three assists in the victory.

Wayne Simmonds had a pair of goals to pace the Attack (1-4-0-0), while Matt Carter and Scott Tregunna added singles in defeat.

Kyle Gajewki stopped 23 shots to earn the win for the Greyhounds.

Owen Sound netminder Tyler Beskorowany made 28 saves.
