Almond scores twice as Kelowna rallies twice to beat Red Deer 3-2
NHL.com @NHLdotcomKELOWNA, B.C. - Cody Almond scored two goals as the Kelowna Rockets twice fought back from one-goal deficits to defeat the Red Deer Rebels 3-2 on Wednesday night.
Dylan Hood also scored and Colin Bowman had two assists for the Rockets (9-7-1-1), who have won four straight and have at least a point in each of their last five games. Kris Westblom was strong in the third period and made 21 saves on the night.
J.D. Watt and Brandon Sutter each had a goal and an assist for the Rebels (5-14-4-0).
Goalie Morgan Clark kept his team in contention through two periods and made 27 saves overall, but Hood and Almond both beat him in the third period.
