All-Star players to tweet their way through 2012 Molson Canadian NHL All-Star Skills Competition

OTTAWA -- The National Hockey League (NHL) and the National Hockey League Players' Association (NHLPA) have arranged to have a number of All-Star players who are participating in the2012 Molson Canadian NHL All-Star Skills Competition™ communicate throughout the event via Twitter, providing an inside look from the players' perspective. Using the hashtag #NHLAllStar, fans will be able interact directly with the players mid-competition for the first time ever.

The players take the ice in the 2012 Molson Canadian NHL All-Star Skills CompetitionTM, at Scotiabank Place on Saturday, Jan. 28 at 7 p.m., ET. Live television coverage will be provided by CBC and RDS in Canada and NBC Sports Network in the United States.

The 16 All-Stars and rookies who will tweet from the ice at the 2012 Molson Canadian NHL All-Star Skills Competition are:

In addition to Twitter, player tweets will be displayed in-arena on Scotiabank Place's Jumbotron, on NHL.com and NHLPA.com, and throughout the broadcast of the 2012 Molson Canadian NHL All-Star Skills Competition on CBC, RDS, and NBC Sports Network. NHL Network also will provide highlights of the night's notable tweets.
