Aliu scores power-play winner in final minutes as Knights gain 2-1 win over Storm @NHLdotcom

GUELPH, Ont. - Akim Aliu's power-play goal with 80 seconds remaining in regulation allowed the London Knights to remain alive in the OHL playoffs with a 2-1 win over the Guelph Storm on Thursday night.

The Storm lead the best-of-seven Western Conference quarter-final 3-1 and can advance with a victory in London on Friday night.

Following a scoreless first two periods, Harrison Reed put the hometown Storm ahead with a power-play goal 38 seconds into the final frame.

Tony Romano tied it for London at 17:14 and Aliu counted the winner just over a minute later.

Knights goalie Jason Guy blocked 27 shots, while Thomas McCollum made 24 saves for Guelph.
